Brunettes not Fighter Jets!!

I just remembered (and got insanely excited....reminiscent of fan girls for the Beatles long ago. Oh yes there was screaming and fainting! ;D) that I’m seeing Flight of the Conchords in May!!!

Yay!!!

11 weeks to go!! I’m so cheesed I could grate myself! By the way, I’m considering getting a pair of these for the concert:

Mainly so I can throw them up on stage! ;D Hey, do you think they come in pink and Caribbean teal?? How about lacy ones??

**Photos provided by Myspace-check out their fan page, it's awesome!

Currently Searching for my Colonel Brandon

My Dearest Willoughby,

It has come to my attention, over the past few months that your feelings for me have gone astray. Even though our very own Iago has attempted to thwart our love for his own end; I have come to realize that you, my darling Willoughby, are unworthy of my love. And when you have decided once again that you are unable to live without me, I will be there to assure you-you will.

Most sincerely not yours,
Marianne Dashwood

Whitneykins.....

I received a fatty letter from Whitney this week-6 pages. I wish I could share with you what it said, but I am under strict orders not to by the writer. Let me just tell you that she's doing great, she’s learning a lot (both spiritually and the language), and she’s bearing fairly well with all the rules-which I find amazing!

I also received an email from her on Tuesday.

HI! Speaking in Italian Only. Half way done with the MTC. Challenging but Fantastic and excited for tomorrows challenges and the adventure still to come! I hope you are well and I'll send you snail mail.
Love you
LOve You
LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!
LOves,
Whitney Linnea

Oh how I miss her.

You said what???

This last Saturday at Laird and Jon's joint birthday celebration, Laird casually mentioned (after I revealed that if George Harrison were still alive, I would marry him) that he went to school (Brown) with George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison-total doppelgangers.

**Jaw Drops**

I’m sorry, I’ve stopped breathing. How can you casually mention something like that? Granted, I find this information more that thrilling, but still. George Harrison, one of the best musicians of his time. Someone I grew up listening and dancing to. Someone I hold in extremely high regard. Someone I find extremely attractive. My world has been turned upside down.

By the way Laird…you just became 10 times cooler.

Whitney and Linkup

I got another email from Whitney today. Short and sweet, but I loved it!

I loved your messages,
I'll return mail soon. You make me cheese with delight I'm finally nearly embracing the MTC but do love the work and learnings...
ummm
LOVE YOU,
Whitney Linnea

There's about 5-7 guys that fairly regularly few my profile on Linkup but never email me. So I have a question. Why would they keep looking at my profile and then never email me. It's not like they don't know you can see who's viewed your profile or I've updated info or anything. Anyway, I'm only asking because there's this guy (who I think is one of the foxiest guys I've seen-he's like a combination of Dierks Bentley and Michael Fassbender) that keeps viewing me. Not that it matters, because like Meredith says-Linkup is bad!

Man. I just want some action. Maybe that can be remedied this weekend. Hmm.

FHE Commercial Filming.

My favorite quotes from last night's FHE commercial filming.

(Girls Faux Playing Halo)
Jon: Okay so one of you girls needs to say "You've been pwnd!" and another has to say "You're such a noob!"
Sarah: You've been pawned! haha...
(everyone laughs)
Sarah: Sorry, sorry. Haha. What was it again?
All the guys: Pwned.
Sarah: Right. You’ve been pwned, sucka!
Jon: Haha. Now Bridgette, you need to say "You're such a noob!"
Bridgette: I'm not going to say that.
Jon: Bridgette, you have to say that.
Bridgette: I don't have to do anything, and I'm not going to say that.
Jon: (very sweetly) Bridgette, we're on a time schedule. Now I know you're upset, but you need to focus on this right now.
Bridgette: Jon, everything I want to say right now isn't church appropriate.
(everyone laughs)
Sarah: (excited) me too!!

Email from Whitney!!

Tuesday I received an email from Whitney. Well, actually, she didn't remember my email address, but she got Leah's right so she forwarded it on to me. It's been three weeks since I last heard from her and this email was much needed. If I’m honest I cried approximately 8 -10 drops when I read it. Here's an edited (because some people offend easy) version for you to enjoy. :D

I hope I remembered one of your emails correctly! I LOOOOVED your snail mail Sarah, THANK YOU! Please go to dearelder.com and send me love letters that way as often as you like! I hope you are well and having fun and warm and everything! Miss you both like crazy, especially when one of the elders and I are singing Flight of the Conchords in class! There ain’t no party like my nana's tea party! hey! ho! I love you! I Love You! I LOOOOOOOOOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First Weekend Without Whitney. :(

Rundown.

Friday:
Saw Frost/Nixon with Leah and Anthony.
Ate dinner at a Thai place on the Ave with Leah.
Went to Stake dance for Benji's birthdaypoosie (first Friday night in 3 months that I didn't spend at Cowgirls...sad).

Saturday:
Went to Ross with Leah and Julie (including the "boot")-bought a couple pairs of shoes and shirt/tunics...Julie got hit on by a woman.
Ate at Outback Steakhouse with individuals above.
Almost had plans with B-Ryan for dancing (:D), but went to....
Ronnie's birthday celebration at Garage on Capital Hill instead. Yay for birthdays!!!
Met up with Bridgette and Blake (and Blake's friend's little brother Brad) at The Little Red Hen (first time in 3 months I've had to pay cover...grrr!!!) in Greenlake-not sure if I like it yet.

Sunday:
Late, late, late church.....why does it have to be at one o'clock?
CES fireside and dinner brought to you by the Lynnwood Stake...didn't meet anyone new, but did have fun with friends!

Number of times I wept for Whitney…2. Definitely improved!

Special shout out to Leah, Julie, Bridgette, and Bensiepoosie for making my first weekend without Whitney bearable.

I <3 Katy Perry

I know I probably shouldn't, but I so love Katy Perry. It started with "I kissed a girl and I liked it", which is super catchy, but it also holds a little space in my heart for two reasons. One, it reminds me of dancing with Whitney at Cowgirls, which prompted me to make it her ringtone. And two, it reminds me of dancing with incredibly good-looking men at Cowgirls. ;D But seriously, it's a fun song and it makes people (sticks in the mud that I know) super uncomfortable. I love that.
Anyway, so I bought the CD and I have found two more songs on the album that I love equally if not more than “I kissed a Girl”. The first is “Hot N’ Cold”, which perfectly describes every relationship me and my girlfriends have had. And the second is “UR So Gay”, which describes some of the guys I know (harsh, but true!).
Some of my favorite lyrics:
“You’re so sad maybe you should buy a happy meal
You’re so skinny you should really super size the deal”
And
“You walking around like you’re oh so debonair
You pull them down and there’s really nothing there
I wish you would just be real with me”
I love, love, love it!! It makes me laugh.
:D

Cold Mountain Juice and Google

Most of you probably don't know, but for the majority of my young life my dad owned his own fresh juice company called Cold Mountain Juice-located on 45th (currently a UPS store) in Seattle. In this current age of technology, I decided to google “Cold Mountain Juice” and see if I got anything interesting. Oh boy did google deliver. Third from the top I found this site:
I clicked in and nearly pissed my pants! I then promptly emailed my dad to verify this new information I happened upon. It went something like this:

Hey I found this on the interweb…is it true??

"Some years ago when I was still living in Seattle, I knew the guy who ran the Cold Mountain Juice Factory (who made great carrot juice and distributed it in the area). He was fairly orange when I knew him and, he said, he'd been a bright orange a year before, all because of the quantity of carrot juice he was drinking (about a quart a day when I knew him and up to 1/2 gallon a day before). He bicycled everywhere and was in great health, but you could see that he was orange from quite a ways away. His hair, which was normally brown, had a very slight green tint to it as well as a result of the extra pigmentation."

Dad-did you have green hair….did you turn into a carrot??

My dad then came out to my desk-he thought I’d made it up. I showed him the website and I told him he should email the guy and he said he would. As he was leaving I asked if he had turned orange. He said that he was mildly orange, but that it was mostly because of his natural skin tone. He then said “But I did NOT have green hair. That is a lie!”

Ldslinkup email 12/26/08

Haven't blogged about ldslinkup for a while so I thought I would share with you this email I received over the holiday weekend. (Background information, I have three pictures up on my profile, the first is one that was taken at cowgirls on my birthday weekend, the second is one from when we filmed little Georgi goes scouting, and the last is one of my bottom from the ugly sweater party.)

Email from “Moving to UT....Ready?” on the 26th of December.

"Nice butt =).
Merry Christmas."

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

I just realized I didn’t blog about my birthday celebration weekend. Sorry everyone! Thursday the 4th, we (Leah, Whitney, Sean, Amy, Bridgette, Stephanie, Lindsay, Mikey, and moi) went to the Fifth Ave and saw a production of one of my favorite musicals; Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Not as good as the movie, sadly, but it did have some very memorable moments, including some that I will never be able to get out of my head.

Friday we (Leah, Whitney, Bridgette, and me) went out dancing at cowgirls and took lots of fabulous skanky photos for Kevan.

Quick story, I was IMing with Kevan (my Scottish friend) and he asked me what my birthday plans were, I told him about the musical, my birthday party and about some skanky bar dancing. He asked if I would take some skanky dancing pictures for him-in jest, but you can’t really jest about skanky dancing photos with me. So these fabulous pictures are for him.

One of the cowgirls hanging from the rafters.

This just in, Whitney’s soul escapes body!

This is FABULOUS, thank you Leah!

Drunk Brother #1…help me!

I would say group photo, but they weren’t in our group. Caption: Our group of girls in a picture with Drunk Brother 1 and Drunk Brother 2. Who were way too handsy for our liking.

Side note, I was asked for my phone number by a black man with grills that night. Whitney got me out of it by telling the man I was leaving for London in a few days. If only that were true…sad.

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

Location: The Sheridan Hotel and Erin Chapman’s Wallingford house.
Fabulous highlights: Whitney’s Christmas tree sweater with lights (I loved “plugging” her in), I was a White Elephant gift (chosen by Jose, stolen by Mark), and Snow!!! Plus some of the gayest sweaters I have ever seen a man wear!

Layne, Leah, me, Whitney, and Laird at dinner.

Wow Whitney, show us how you truly feel about the situation! Disgust much??

Andrew likes to take stalker photos of us when we’re dancing….apparently!

Wait, he’s been sighted!

Group photo protection huddle, thanks Laird. On a positive note, I like the view from behind!!!

Bullet Tooth Tony...Arrested???

Former Footballer turned Actor and all-time beefcake Vinnie Jones was in the news today. He was arrested and charged with assault after, get this, a barroom brawl.

I saw that he had been arrested as a headline on MSN this morning and it gave me a little chuckle. Like it’s a surprise that he would get into a fight…it’s Vinnie Jones, proud owner of this memorial football moment. It’s gotta make you laugh!

Fun with friends Downtown!

A couple weeks ago we went out dancing (like we’ve been doing every weekend for the past 6 weeks), and took some pictures of our journey.
Highlight of the evening-when a bicycled police officer told Whitney and I to “work it!”.

Frontier Funsies!

Brisket Burger

Frontier Bar

Outside Frontier

The steps that lead to nowhere. Pay attention to the two guys on the left side of the picture.

Oh yes, that's right! Having your picture taken with random guys-priceless. :D
